Carl Cox is a dynamic performer—a high school music instructor by day and a saxophone dominator by night, on weekends, and all summer long! He had the crowd at Gerald Veasley's Unscripted Jazz Series at SOUTH Jazz Parlor jumping to their feet! He is now gaining the momentum he deserves. His songs are often in Billboard's top 10 and are among the most popular, added to playlists. He is creatively unique, and every song in his musical arsenal is easy to listen to and often in demand. Carl is simply phenomenal, and every song he writes becomes an essential on most Smooth Jazz lovers' playlists.
Career & Album
Carl's album was Philly Strut released this past summer, featuring songs named after his deep roots in the City of Brotherly Love. The song "Blow the Whistle" was written for the Philadelphia Eagles football team as a tribute to their winning the Super Bowl and to their legendary fan base.
30th Street Station captivates, bringing the hustle and bustle of the train station to the listener's ears through rhythmic sounds that evoke Carl's love for the city and the monumental impact it has on everyone who passes through its limits.
His saxophone expertise is showcased on a variety of major Grammy Award-winning recordings, live performances, and national radio features. Many of his solo career singles can be heard on SiriusXM radio, Music Choice, and National Radio stations.

Education & Legacy
Carl grew up in Deptford, New Jersey, where he currently teaches high school music and shares his passion for performance with his students. He received his Bachelor's degree in Saxophone Performance and Master's in Education at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
During his time at the University of the Arts, Carl showcased his talent to other bands and musicians in the area, performing at local weddings and private events. Shortly after graduating, he started receiving calls from touring acts after playing in various jam sessions, leading to recording, television, and touring opportunities over the past 20 years.
